The booming demand for 'pedigree cats', pandemic pets and lack of awareness on desexing have seen the rise of unwanted cat litters abandoned and surrendered to already-crowded animal shelters. Millions of stray cats struggle to live on the streets – many are brutally killed as 'feral' or 'pest' or worse, for meat.
FOUR PAWS supports shelters and cat owners with educational programsand information that promote responsible cat care. In our work to create a kinder world for stray animals, we also help communities, municipalities, and thousands of cats through our global Stray Animal Care projects.
