How to manage pain in your Pet

How you can help your pet in pain management

29.12.2020

Pain is one of the signs of an underlying medical condition. Identifying the medical condition and formulating a specific treatment plan for it is essential in eliminating pain. The veterinarian is the only one qualified to decide on the best treatment option for the condition causing pain in your pet. Evidence-based medicine can sometimes be accompanied by complementary treatments, but not the other way around. Never start a treatment regime that has not been discussed with and approved by a veterinarian!

Treatment options

The following treatment options capture just a few of the total range of treatments available, and examples of when they might be applied. Some of the treatment options are seen as rehabilitation treatments, others as alternative medicine. In any case, when looking for any of these treatments, choose a provider that has the right qualification, and discuss with your veterinarian, if the treatment is beneficial for your animal.
