July 8, 2015 - A huge success for the world’s largest Non-Profit coalition against fur fashion – the FUR FREE ALLIANCE, of which FOUR PAWS is member. The luxury brand Hugo Boss commits to totally phase out the use of real animal fur in its products. Hugo Boss will be dropping all fur, including rabbit fur from its Fall/Winter 2016 Collection onwards. This decisions follows months of discussions between Hugo Boss and the Fur Free Alliance, in which FOUR PAWS actively participated. Thomas Pietsch, Wild Animal expert at FOUR PAWS stated: “It is groundbreaking and pioneering that a massive global brand like Hugo Boss has taken the lead in committing to  fur free fashion. We are delighted by this forward-thinking decision!”

An important decision for a giant in fashion industry

Apart from raccoon dog and rabbit fur,  the  ban also applies  to all forms of real fur, such as mink and fox. Hugo Boss joins a growing list of fur-free brands and retailers, including Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Stella McCartney, Zara, ASOS, Esprit, Marc O’Polo and many others.
